Caterpillar Inc, headquartered in Illinois, was founded in 1925 and is one of the world’s largest construction machinery, mining equipment diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and electric drive diesel engine manufacturers.
In November 2016, Caterpillar Inc. held the construction machinery dealer conference in Europe where it was officially announced that Sailun Group was selected to become a global OE tire supplier of Caterpillar.
Sailun Group’s flagship OTR product is MAXAM tires which boast superior durability and load bearing capacity, good comfort, tear resistance, long service life and excellent performance. In order to select a worthy supplier, Caterpillar held road tests for many of its well-known brands at home and abroad, of which MAXAM received recognition from Caterpillar and was named the winner of the competition. The winner has the honor of becoming the main supplier of the Caterpillar 950GC model.
The signing of this contract between Sailun Group and Caterpillar will ensure that international construction machinery dealers recognize the quality of Sailun products. This opportunity has accelerated the development pace for the international market and brought Sailun closer to the goal of becoming China’s best supplier of off-road tires with the best quality and a full lineup.
