[2019 Taklimakan Rally] Sailun Off-Road Team Crowned 2019 Taklimakan Rally Champions
At 12 noon on June 1st，the closing ceremony of 2019 Taklimakan Rally was held in the Taklimakan Rally Camp of Damo Huyang Scenic Area in Hetian city. This year’s Taklimakan Rally was said to be the toughest race in the history of the series. Sailun Tire Zhengzhou Nissan Navara Team, after 9 stages of more than 5000 kilometers, were named champions 5 times consecutively, while vehicle number 253 claimed their place at the podium as the 2019 Taklimakan Rally T2 group champions. The Sailun Tire Zhengzhou Nissan Navara Team also received the “Manufacturer Cup” champion for the entire team.
This year’s rally, being the toughest yet, means that the one product, the tires, that is in actual contact with the ground has been put through some of the most severe off-road conditions. A total of 102 cars and 26 motorcycles took part in this race, but only 70 cars made it to the end of the race. After the race, the racing drivers said that “SV12 all-terrain tires were always reliable and made us feel safe even in the most severe of conditions.” Tao Yongming, the racing driver of No. 253 racing car who was named champion, said “The excellent performance of Sailun Tire products is what allowed us to come out on top of the competition and take the final victory.”
