Sailun Group Shenyang Plant to Start the high-performance TBR Project
On March 1st, Sailun Group Shenyang Plant officially began construction on the Shenyang TBR expansion. The first phase of expansion will see the plant reach an annual production capacity of 3 million TBR tires. Top city government leaders of Tiexi District, Wang Jianye, executive VP of Sailun Group, and Zhou Bo and Xie Xiaohong, VPs of Sailun Group, attended the ceremony.
By focusing on intelligent manufacturing and big data applications, the project aims to effectively enhance the level of automation, information technology, and intelligence of core equipment in the tire manufacturing process. This will develop a full intelligent manufacturing system driven by data and AI to manage the entire tire lifecycle. This transformation and upgrade of the rubber tire industry will set a new model of intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation for rubber tire manufactures.
This new model of intelligent and digital manufacturing for tire enterprises is not only in line with the development of information technology, but also a reflection of the R&D development of Sailun Group over the past years. Sailun is the only "Industrial Internet Pilot Demonstration Enterprise" and "Big Data Industry Development Pilot Demonstration Enterprise" approved by the Industry and Information Technology Ministry of China in the tire industry and has recently built a 5G Industrial Internet Lab with China Telecom Group. The high-technology lab can better meet the tire industry's needs for intelligent operations and promote high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.
At the beginning of 2020, Sailun Group started a number of strategically important expansion projects with this Shenyang expansion being one. After the project is completed, Sailun Shenyang Plant will have an annual production capacity of 5 million sets of TBR and will be known as one of the world's largest single TBR plants.
