Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol Visits NERCRAT in Qingdao, China
Sun Chanthol, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), led a delegation to visit National Engineering Research Center for Rubber and Tire (abbre. NERCRAT) in Qingdao, China on Januray 6 and 7, 2024. The visit included discussions with key figures such as Xingwei Li, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, and Zhongxue Yuan, Director of NERCRAT.
During the discussion, Mr. Zhongxue Yuan extended a warm welcome to the Cambodian delegation and his sincere appreciation for the steady support provided by the Cambodian government towards the NERCRAT’s investment in Cambodia. In his comprehensive presentation, Mr. Yuan introduced various aspects of NERCRAT, including its background and global layout.
Mr. Yuan emphasized that the smooth advancement of projects in Cambodia not only contributes to the development of NERCRAT, but also enhances the prosperity of Cambodia's society and economy. NERCRAT hopes that this visit can be an opportunity to deepen cooperation with Cambodia and jointly build a shared future.
Mr. Sun Chanthol expressed his gratitude to NERCRAT for investing in Cambodia and his happiness for the rapid development of NERCRAT’s projects in Cambodia. In recent years, the Cambodian government has actively attracted investment and vigorously developed the economy to improve people’s living standard, achieving rapid development. Mr. Sun provided an overview of Cambodia's ongoing infrastructure development initiatives, including ports, railways, highways, and industrial parks. He also highlighted that Cambodia has established a new investment law to provide convenience and support for foreign investment in Cambodia.
Mr. Sun said that Cambodia boasts rich rubber resources and highly emphasized the development of the rubber industry. NERCRAT’s investment in Cambodia continues to play an important role in boosting local employment and promoting economic development. He hopes that NERCRAT will increase the scale of investment in the future, as well as bring more advanced technologies and innovative ideas to help elevate Cambodia's industrial development. The Cambodian government will continue to support the development of NERCRAT in Cambodia, aiming for mutual benefit and win-win results.
