Sailun Group Becomes an OE Supplier of Qingdao Public Transportation Group
On Dec. 12th, 2017, Sailun Group participated in Qingdao Public Transportation Group’s procurement project for commercial vehicle tires. After fierce competition, Shandong Zhonggang Tendering CO., Ltd announced the notification of award at the scene to Sailun Group. Sailun was chosen due to unique product design, and intelligent tire management system used to develop the high-quality tire products.
Qingdao Public Transportation Group is a large state-owned enterprise with more than 16,300 employees, 5,300 public bus and trolley bus, 1,000 taxies, and 260 operating bus lines. The total length of bus lines is nearly 5000 kilometers, covering city center, suburbs and the country. The total annual mileage of these public busses is 230 million kilometers and annual passenger volume is 763 million, which is 89% of the total volume of Qingdao bus service. Moreover, the market share of city center bus service is more than 90%.
Currently, Qingdao Public Transportation Group owns 20 production and operation units including 9 bus operation companies, 1 tramcar company, and 1 taxi company. Its business scope covers urban passenger transportation, passenger car manufacturing, and vehicle inspection and repair. The enterprise is ranked within the top national competitors in the industry nationwide.
