2017 Opening Ceremony of the Taklimakan International Rally Race – Sailun Team begins expedition
On June 10th, the opening ceremony of 2017 Taklimakan International Rally Race began in Tacheng, Xinjiang. The race, along with the Sailun Group off-road team, included 239 racing drivers and co-drivers from home and abroad, 59 teams, and 113 groups of cars who participated in this opening ceremony. Intense qualifying rounds immediately followed the opening ceremony. Although this short-track race is only 7.6km, it is the first determination of teams’ strength. Sailun team’s first group of vehicles boarded the departure platform and departed successfully, marking that Sailun Team officially began the journey of expedition.
This year, Sailun Group gave opportunities to Jingdong end consumers, distributors and dealers to attend the Taklimakan International Rally Race Opening ceremony. Nearly 50 Sailun customer representatives from domestic and overseas markets gathered in Tacheng to experience the thrill of the TIR.
On June 9th, clients of Sailun International from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Australia “Pushed the Limits” of the Sailun Terramax A/Ts through grueling conditions around Northern Xinjiang. A group of 32 people and 11 off-road cars meet with the SJG Rally team in Tacheng to send the team off themselves.
Once at the starting site, the group was given a tour of the grounds and rally team vehicles by the Sailun team managers.
The dealer representatives of Sailun International center also held a panel discussion with the team and rally drivers.
All the clients took a group photo to mark the occasion at the departure site.
The clients from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Australia accepted the interviews of FM89.7 Qingdao Traffic Radio and Daxiang Media during their visit. Dealers expressed their happiness with product quality and recognized Sailun Group’s constant challenge to further improve product quality through professional competitions.
On the day of opening ceremony, the team made up by the representatives of Jingdong e-commerce platform customers, suppliers, and dealers arrived at the campsite under the guidance of Sailun’s vice-president Liu Zhiyuan, technology R&D center’s PCR RE technical director Huang Hanwen, and brand manager Lu Chunxiao. They cheered for Sailun team and witnessed first hand how the high quality Sailun products are able to conquer the Taklimakan Desert.
For the past three-years, the excellent performance of the Sailun Rally team has received recognition and praise of customers. When the team accepted media interviews, Sailun’s strategic partner – the representatives of Bekaert, customer representatives of Jindong, dealer representatives expressed their pride about the future and quality of Sailun’s products.
After qualifying, Sailun Group allows customers to test drive the Taklimakan rally cars and experience the actual off-road conditions of the race.
The beacon of 2017 Huanta has been lit, and today our racing drivers will encounter grueling obstacles of SS1. “Don’t fear difficult situations, and be brave to challenge”, Sailun Team is fired up to improve their previous scores and drive to glory again in the 5,000 kilometer journey over the next 10 days.
