Taklimakan Rally - T2 Champions
On June 22th, 2017 Taklimakan International Rally Race has come to a successful end in Hami, Xinjiang. Sailun off-road vehicle team won the grand champion of T2 group and team champion of T2.2 group with excellent grades.
2017 Taklimakan International Rally Race went through five competition areas (Tacheng, Hoboksar, Fuyun, Shanshan, and Hami), 10 special stages, nearly 3,000 kilometers distance and finished in Hami. During the period from June to August, the temperature of Xinjiang Turpan area has reached 40℃. This area is the famous “fire continent” in China and the surface temperature is over 70℃. Due to the features of fast heating up, slow cooling down, high temperature, dry, strong UV rays, large difference in temperature between day and night, scorching sun, hot wind, Gobi desert, no plains growing on, this area is regarded as the hottest region in China or even the whole world. The extreme hostile natural environment and intense competition is a hellish test for both racing cars and racing drivers.
The off-road vehicles of Sailun team are equipped with the latest developed Sailun AT tires and MT tires for professional racing, which also got the strictest inspection. In the stage of Gobi desert road, surface temperature reached 70℃.
