Sailun Signs on as Official Strategic Partner of D1GP
On January 11th, 2020, Sailun and D1 Grand Prix (D1GP) signed their official partnership for the 2020 season, solidifying Sailun as an official strategic partner and tire supplier of the D1GP. The contract was signed between the President of SUNPROS, Mr. Saita, and Sailun Group Vice President, Dr. Yuan Song.
The day of the Sailun and D1GP signing ceremony coincided with the organization’s 20th anniversary, ushering in a new era for the drifting scene and Sailun brand. Currently, D1GP is considered the top international drifting event worldwide. Mr. Saita, President of SUNPROS (D1GP) stated in his address that “an exciting race requires not only excellent drivers and teams, but quality tires. On the 20th anniversary of the D1GP, it is a momentous step for D1GP to enter into strategic cooperation with Sailun Group on its path of globalization. It is also D1GP's honor to work with Sailun Tire, an excellent tire supplier.”

In 2020, Sailun continues to forge ahead by entering into a strategic cooperation with well-known international competitions and racers, in a bid to accelerate its global branding and influence. At the signing ceremony, Vice President of Sailun Group, Dr. Yuan Song, stated: “By taking advantage of the D1GP strategic cooperation and their platform, Sailun group will accumulate even greater experience in auto racing requirements which will then be applied to civil products, in order to provide global tire users with better products and services.”

Sailun Tire’s two year veteran, the Japanese drifting sensationr Hibino Tetsuya, was named the China D1GP singles and drift-chase champion using Sailun’s newest set of racing tires back in 2018. In 2019 Hibino Tetsuya was named the singles champion and was runner-up in the drift-chase category at DCGP. Hibino Tetsuya said: “What impressed me most was not the excellence and stability of the Sailun tires, but the Sailun's professionalism and preciseness of research and development. Technicians are present at each stop of the race to carry out testing for the tires I've used so as to improve the tire compound. I could not have arrived to where I am today without the technical expertise and excellent performance of Sailun Tire products.
At the signing ceremony, Sailun Tire signed strategic cooperation agreements with President of SUNPROS (D1GP), Mr. Saita, famous Japanese drifting drivers Hibino Tetsuya, Akinori Utsumi, Shingo Hatanaka, Ueno Takahiro, Seimi Tanaka, Kisaragi Awano, Mr. Kei Miura, and China's social media star Liuliuge.

In 2020, Sailun Tire will offer its top product SAILUN GENE R Podium D as the professional sports racing tire to compete in global drifting events. SAILUN GENE R Pole D will be the category’s performance-oriented professional sport tire for drifting, and will also be supplied worldwide to the civilian market.
Sailun Group will continue to increase its investment in auto racing and support the development of an automobile sports industry chain moving forward. In addition, it will apply the expertise and technology learned in auto racing to the civil industry to provide customers and consumers with better products and services.
