Welfare knows no borders. Students of Cambodia’s Svay Tour Primary School received surprise gifts from Sailun on May 8 to help them achieve their aspirations.
Svay Rieng is a small province in southeast Cambodia and borders Vietnam to the east and south. Svay Tour Primary School is located on the outskirts of the capital of Svay Rieng. A total of 224 students received new school bags, books, pens and other stationery from Yuan Zhongxue, Director of National Engineering Research Center for Rubber and Tire and Honorary Chairman of Sailun Group, Jane Liu, Chairwoman of Sailun Group and Xie Xiaohong, President of Sailun Group. With smiles planted on their faces, the pupils could not hide their excitement upon receiving the gifts. Their eyes are visions of innocence and all of them have aspirations.
This is not the first time that Sailun is spreading love and giving back to society, the group has been committed to welfare programs for over 20 years. Following its growth, Sailun is still dedicated to realizing its aspirations. The company not only supported poor students at higher education institutions and Qingdao Charity Federation, but also partnered with World Child Cancer to help children with cancer and their families through challenging times. Sailun has donated over 40 million CNY to Qingdao University of Science and Technology over the years, as well as earthquake victims in Ya’an and Yushu as part of post-disaster recovery efforts. The company also donated 10 million CNY in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sailun’s Cambodia factory began its operations on November 18, 2021 to produce an annual output of 9 million PCR tires in Svay Rieng province. Apart from building the first modern tire factory in Cambodia's history, Sailun also promoted its human-oriented corporate culture and social responsibility in the kingdom. During the construction of the manufacturing plant, Chinese and Cambodian employees experienced hardships together and worked hard on the front line regardless of their job positions. Thirty outstanding Cambodian employees are now improving their lives and being recognized for their contributions. Following the award ceremony for outstanding employees, Sailun was keen to visit Svay Tour Primary School and spread more joy to children.
Creating value together and sharing the fruits of labor. That is Sailun’s longstanding corporate culture which has been incorporated in every aspect of its operations and management.
