On May 29th local time, Sailun Group commenced full operations at its Mexico plant as the first high-performance passenger radial tire (PCR) rolled off the production line. It marks the official launch of the Sailun’s first intelligent production base in North America, enhancing its global production competitiveness.

Upon reaching full production capacity, the Mexico plant will deliver an annual output of 6 million PCR. As Sailun Group's first North American production base, the Mexico plant will drive end-to-end optimization through automation and digitalization. It establishes a global smart manufacturing template—excelling in localized operations, international talent development, and replicable manufacturing excellence.

As an integral component of Sailun's global strategy, the Mexico plant will leverage its localized operations to serve the North American automotive market. Strategically based in Mexico, it will implement end-to-end integration (R&D, production, sales) and enhance product-service offerings, driving competitive excellence in this key automotive market. The facility will simultaneously strengthen Sailun Group’s global supply chain responsiveness and flexibility.

Ms. Dong Wei, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, and Mr. Zhou Shengyu, CEO of ICBC Mexico, jointly witnessed the milestone event.
